  17. Campaigners start countdown to cluster bomb ban. Convention on Cluster Munitions due to take effect on 1 August 2010. More 

  18. 10 victims of anti-personnel mines in two days. Norte de Santander, a department on the Venezuelan border, last week registered one of the highest rates of landmine accidents in recent months. Between the 10th of September and Friday, the 11th of September, two accidents happened that left two citizens dead and eight injured, all of them civilians. More

  19. The Launch of the Nariño Rehabilitation Centre. The Centre for Rehabilitation in the University Hospital of Nariño was opened on the 28th April 2009. It will provide services to almost 90% of landmine victims and people with disabilities in the department. More 

  20. The meeting is in Cartagena. Representatives of the 15 States members of the Mine Ban Treaty will participate in the Second Review Conference of the Ottawa Convention in Cartagena - Colombia, from November 30th to December 4th, 2009. More

  21. Colombia signed in Oslo. 107 countries, including Colombia, have signed the Convention on Cluster Munitions. It prohibits the use, production, stockpile and transfer of these weapons. More
